Colossians 3:23

Isabella Concepcion Hernández

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.

I.C.H - Intensity. Consistency. Heart.

I.C.H. — Intensity. Consistency. Heart.

This isn’t just a slogan, it’s a way of life. Everything I do starts with intensity: the way I train, the way I compete, and the way I show up when it counts. But intensity alone isn't enough, it's the consistency, day in and day out, that separates the good from the great. And above all, it’s heart. Heart is what keeps me going when the odds are against me, when the scoreboard is tight, and when the world’s watching. Built on intensity, driven by consistency, and fueled by heart, that’s I.C.H.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23

PARENTS WORDS

To Our Isabella,

From the moment you came into our lives, we knew you were someone special. Watching you grow has been one of the greatest blessings we could ever ask for. You’ve always had a heart full of love — not just for us, but for everyone around you. Whether you're on the field giving it your all, or off the field helping someone in need, your compassion shines through in everything you do.

Your love for sports is inspiring — the way you train, compete, and give 100% with focus and grit is something we deeply admire. But what sets you apart isn’t just your strength or your talent… it's your heart. You always put others before yourself. Whether it's your siblings, your grandparents, your friends, or anyone who needs a hand — you're there. And you’re not just a daughter, but a role model, a loyal sister, a proud niece, and a beautiful soul who brings joy into our family every day.

Most of all, we’re proud of your faith. It’s clear in the way you live your life — with grace, humility, and strength. You carry God’s love with you, and it shows in your kindness, your resilience, and the way you treat others with respect and care.

Never forget how deeply loved you are, Isabella. Keep shining. Keep pushing. Keep leading with heart — because the world needs more of the light you carry.

With all our love,

Frequently Questions About Isabella

What is Isabella major?

From a young age, I knew I wanted a career that would allow me to help others and make a meaningful impact. In elementary school, I dreamed of becoming a firefighter. By middle school, my interests shifted toward the medical field, and I aspired to be a spine surgeon. As I grew older and gained a deeper understanding of the world, my passion began to evolve. I became increasingly interested in criminal investigations—particularly in solving homicide cases, locating missing persons, and fighting against sex trafficking.

This growing awareness led me to discover my true calling in law enforcement and criminal justice. I am drawn to the challenge and purpose of investigative work and feel compelled to be a part of a system that brings justice and closure to victims and their families.

Now, as I prepare for college, I am excited to study criminology or criminal justice and pursue a career in this vital field. I am especially interested in roles such as a detective or working with the FBI, where I can be directly involved in uncovering the truth and protecting the vulnerable. Criminal justice fascinates me on many levels, and I look forward to expanding my knowledge and gaining real-world experience as I work toward a future of service and justice.

What has been Isabella's biggest inspiration?

My biggest inspiration has always been my brother. He consistently embodies strength, determination, and a deep sense of responsibility. Whether in sports, academics, or facing life’s toughest challenges, he has never backed down. I’ve watched him rise above doubt and defy expectations—transforming from someone underestimated into someone deeply respected.

What inspires me most is his resilience. He has faced and overcome difficult, even tragic, circumstances with courage and grace. Through it all, he remained focused and driven, never allowing adversity to define him. His journey has taught me the power of perseverance and the importance of staying true to your purpose.

As I look ahead to my own future, I carry the lessons he’s shown me. I admire his path, and while I’m forging my own, his example continues to guide and motivate me every day.

How does Isabella handle pressure or setbacks?

When I’m under significant pressure, I turn to the activities that ground me—running drills, going for a jog, or listening to music. These routines not only help me manage stress, but also allow me to refocus and regain clarity. I’ve learned that pressure doesn’t have to be a setback; instead, it can be a driving force for personal growth and resilience, both on and off the field.

As a student-athlete, balancing academics and athletics can be demanding. But learning to cope with pressure and setbacks is part of the journey. I’ve come to see pressure as something inevitable—but also as an opportunity. It pushes me to stay disciplined, trust my preparation, and rise to the occasion when it matters most. I embrace it as a challenge that makes me stronger—not just as an athlete, but as a person.

What does being a good teammate mean to Isabella?

To me, being a good teammate goes far beyond simply showing up—it's about building a foundation of growth, unity, and resilience within the team.

As athletes, we’re there to lift each other up—mentally, emotionally, and physically. When I notice a teammate struggling, I make it a priority to encourage and support them. A tough moment doesn’t have to define an entire game or practice, and sometimes, all it takes is a word of encouragement to turn things around.

True teamwork means putting the team’s success ahead of individual recognition. Great teams thrive on trust, open communication, accountability, and mutual respect. By holding each other to high standards, staying committed through setbacks, and showing up for one another—both on and off the field—we create a team culture that’s built to last.

At the heart of it all, being a strong teammate means creating an environment where everyone feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed. That kind of culture isn’t just the key to a winning team—it’s the foundation of something far greater.
